you will but its a good learning curve... I've had to make changes some things i really dont like... like the camera flash going off on every call or notification... had to turn that off asap

That's why I use alternative launchers (Apex Launcher currently), all the benefits of new android versions...with none of the pain ;)

I want 4.3 on my s4, tmobile doesn't. ...not yet...

1 word.....Root!

+1

oh hey, since yous guys got me started on it and since i happened to be home, i found the  "manual upgrade" selection and got the s4 to start the download...holy crap...781 megs...

...do i need to back everything up,before i start the install or is it gonna save all my contacts and stuff ?

Lucky you I remember my friend's stock ROM was 1.5GB

Has Nothing to do with the Launcher.... that's part of the 4.3 update. I use nova Launcher any ways but even then the launcher was fine but it disabled all wallpapers until a reboot. my update was 580mb

I meant most of the changes won't affect you since you use an alternate launcher, not the flash thing haha

CJ, depends on the update, I know with my Nexus 4 OTA updates do not require backups but manual 'reformats' if you like, do.

And listening to all this running Android 4.4.2. Life is sweet. ;)

pfft, expert, ...how'd you get that euro ?
