$14.50 for 150 rounds damn!

Per box of 50, sorry, I wasn't very clear.

Still.

I think they're like $19ish/50rd around here.

Yeah, still a good deal. The crappy TulAmmo ones were $11.24 a box.

Another few things:

You can always wear earplugs under ear muffs. Nothing wrong with doubling up. Having hearing loss and tinnitus sucks big time!

Hollows are the way to go generally, but if an attacker is shooting at you from an obstacle the solid -full jacketed- bullets penetrate barriers better. But thats a double-edged sword - overpenetration can cause casualties. Say you are in an urban environment, suburbia. An intruder in a home and you have to pull the trigger, those FMJ's will fly through drywall with ease into another bedroom or even neighboring house (not nearly as big of a problem here with standard 9mm though). But you never know if someone will shoot at you behind cover too. Nothing wrong with carrying multiple mags with different or mixed bullets. Just worth thinking about - i just use hollows.

Sooner or later you will run into someone that is anal about mixing up the terms clips and magazines. A magazine is what your pistol uses - its essentially a spring loaded box of bullets. Clips are a length of metal that hold bullets. M1 garand uses stripper clips, as does SKS, and others too. You insert a loaded clip into the top of an open chamber and smash down with your thumb into a built-in magazine, striping the clip empty and removing it for action.

Most people understand either term, but you will likely find the guy that will get on you if you mix them up :)

Around here walmart had federal fmj for roughly the same price - boxer brass too so its reloadable. Hopefully you get a better selection in but ive been buying online for decent prices. Gunbot dot net is a good source for cheap ammo sometimes, lists calibers, prices, sources.

I know people.with years of military experience who still call them clips and people who haven't been in the military at all but have shot their whole life and still call them clips.

That being said, I still prefer to call them magazines, even when no one else around me does.
