Well, I thought I’d pop back in and give an update.  While trying to resolve my issue with not being able to calibrate my monitor in a photography forum, the guy helping me attacked all my issues and now everything is working except “Network Controller” in Device Manager still has an exclamation mark next to it.  No clue how to fix it, but everything is working.  I don’t even know what it is.

There were a lot of drivers on the ASUS site that were named in such a way that I did not think they were part of my problems, when in fact they were.  No CD came with this board.  I think if a CD came with the board, I would have never had any problems.  From a suggestion on the other forum, I downloaded all the drivers from the ASUS site onto a CD, and installed them from there.  That’s when my problems got fixed.  The USB 3.0 ports are working and I can calibrate my monitor.

We are getting close to being ready to put another system together for the backup computer, and I will be looking at Gigabyte boards this time.

Try install the latest mobo chipset driver follow by a reboot.

The new chipset driver can provide a better environment for the pheripheral devices including the USB.

Hope this helps.
