Best Mousepad for g9x

Recommended Posts

I need a hard mousepad for my g9x (high dpi) and this are the options that I have in my country:

Razer vespula,Razer destructor,Razer exactmat,Steelseries 9hd,Steelseries steelpad SP, SHARKOON 1337,Roccat sota, Roccat raivo,Zowie swift,Zowie G-CM,Corsair MM400,
CM Storn HS-M Battle Pad and Revoltec Precision Pro.

All of this are hardpads but some may be coated with cloth, I dont want the ones that are coated with cloth, I prefer plastic.
These are the only ones available in my country I dont have func pads in here nor rocketfish, ratpadz, etc. All of this mousepads are within the same price range.

I have the G9X and use the Razer Destructor and it is a flawless combo. I have had the pad for a few years and its still like brand new. That would definitely get my vote!

And for how many months does your mouse feet's  last ?

I have read that with the destructor they get worn out very quickly.

Well I believe that I have had the mouse for a year or so and before that I used a Mamba and never replaced the feet on either one of them. After a while the pad does get a little smooth but it does not affect the tracking at all, but I am sure it is easier on the feet.

I have the Razer exactmat. I like it. I tend to move it depending on if I'm gaming or typing and one of the feet came off. It's not a big deal as it still stays where it's supposed to even though it's not glued on but it's annoying. Also, after about 3 years of use, it's definitely gotten smoother where my mouse is at most of the time. Overall, I like it though.

I had the original Logitech G5 and I bought the Steelseries 4HD. I used to be on my bare desk surface, which got irregular with the use.

I can say that it will make your mouse litteraly fly, the speed is greater and the gliding is fast. It has somewhat a rough surface, I believe it tends to speed up laser mice.

Easy to clean and the mouse feet will not degrade much with it over time.

For now this are the ones that I'm liking the most: 9HD, MM400, CM Storm HSM and exactamat.

The destructor is a little more expensive than the others and I dont know if it really is worth the difference.

For the roccat raivo and sota no one as recommended them yet and the reviews are very little.

I use the eXactMat with my G500, and before that with my G5. Never presented an issue, but I mostly use the Control side of it. However, I haven't used the eXactMat for about a year because I have a smaller keyboard now so it and the mouse can both fit on the keyboard tray. Haven't bothered to get a small cloth mat yet or anything, since the desk is still holding up fine.

Until I got the eXactMat I used the Func Surface 1030. That thing lasted for ages before it finally wore down enough to warrant the eXactMat purchase.
