Once you get to the top, you have to fight to stay there... :)

How true,

I am currently 3rd in the world. I am going to drop the 5.5GHz score on mega-man....and I have faster RAM hehe.

I am also in the Futuremark HOF in a couple benches. The good part is that I have not exceeded the anemic 1125MHz OC limits CCC yet. have a couple hundred MHz on each GPU and 300MHz on the CPU left.

I need CPU speed to play that game!

Most of the Black edition cards I have will do over 1200Mhz but no way can I get up to 5.8Ghz on my chip under water.

why 5.8? you have a 3770K or 3960 right? 4.8GHz on those will be competitive.

when I said 300MHz left on the CPU, I was talking abvout the futuremark stuff where I benched at 5.0GHz , not the 5.3GHz this CPU is capable of.

Aaaahhh said the blind man!

My 3960 is a dog and is a 4.65 chip max! I do however have  have a 4.8 3770 but I think the 3960 would do better on multi GPU setups!

The 3960/30's seem to fair better than do the 3770's

I am not sure about the 4770's if this info from [H] is true

The balance of the article can be had here:

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/06/01/intel_haswell_i74770k_ipc_overclocking_review/6#.Ubfs4T5IGCk

This is how the OC'ing abilities of the i7 4770's is adding up

70% of CPUs can clock to 4.5GHz

30% of CPUs can clock to 4.6GHz

20% of CPUs can clock to 4.7GHz

10% of CPUs can to 4.8GHz

Overall you will find most CPUs capable of reaching 44x to 45x with varying levels of voltage.

Pretty close to what I have seen so far on the 4770K's

My ES is a 4.7 chip but the retail I bought seems to be a 4.55 chip based on the info I have found on batch numbers. I may wait for Microcenter to get a new batch in and take it back since I am reluctant to open it up!
