EuroFight Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 EA is getting rid of the online pass system for a number of older games (e.g. BF3, BF: BC2, Sims 3 etc.) and says it will not be using them in the future. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/05/30/ea-online-pass-content-now-free Good move, EA, good move
bp9801 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 There's a handy little FAQ at the EA site providing details on what exactly the removal entails. Looks like the Online Pass may need to be downloaded for some games for free, and others won't even prompt for it anymore. Smart move on EA's part, wonder if it's slowly trying to remove the mistakes of John Riccitiello.
EuroFight Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Well I hope it's a signal of EA changing direction, and actually aiming to be for the gamers, rather than solely for their pocket.
DanTheGamer11 Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Well I hope it's a signal of EA changing direction, and actually aiming to be for the gamers, rather than solely for their pocket. You should see the Crysis 3 DLC lol, $15 for a small population, it's like they want to divide the population even further
