Locutus Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Most of the time I've had a computer it's been one. I had dual 4890's once, but that only lasted till the 5 series came out lol.
Black64 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I don't want to run 2, but I have to. I have 4 monitors and soon to be 5 and one just can't do it. Just bought 2 7950's BTW.
wevsspot Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I've been doing Crossfire and SLi for a few years now, starting with HD 4850s, then it was GTX 460s and now I'm up to GTX 570s. Dual card setups have always fascinated me and I'll usually go for a bargain mid range card x2 over a single high dollar card. Call it cheap, or stubborn, or whatever. Guest_Jim_* Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Two, though not in any fancy multi-card configuration. The GTX 570 drives the graphics while the GTS 250 runs PhysX. It is a nice combination for PhysX games and folding (the 250 is quieter and cooler, so I can run it 24/7 comfortably) but I think it brings out the BSODs in nVidia drivers. I think the last time the drivers did not arbitrarily crash on me was back in the 200 series, so about two years now.
