PS4 maybe cause most games don't have theater or battle cams :P

Xbone? If the CoD Ghosts was the main attraction of it it's years behind lol Sure I has the DVR function too but probably weaker specs that won't do it any favours

We'll see I guess...

He has got to be kidding right..... I am far from having the highest end PC but he cannot honestly be saying the the PS4 and XBone are going to outperform my GTX 690 based ITX Rig...

I am really not seeing it at all, especially at the kind of price brackets these consoles need to launch at. I mean the XBone is going to be an optimized high end AMD APU with a bit more grunt and physx support.

well the specs are pretty good for a console and the games are developed in a closed envoirment, this will lead to a significant graphical leap that pc games cant put out yet.

look at what the ps3 can produce from a 7800gtx kind of graphics card, that card can in no way shape or form create visuals like the ps3 does, imagine what a 7870 in a closed envoirment can do.

The biggest advancements is that multiplatform games will be able to make use of the newer Directx versions. It was painful that modern games would be released based on Dx9. So consoles won't be holding multiplatform games so far back that developers have to cross out trying to incorporate modern PC gaming capabilities because the difference is too large to justify the cost.

The Playstation is also x86 based while the Xbone is not this time, so developer support is likely going to be opposite of the how it was with the Xbox 360 & PS3. And yes games for a console look better because the developer can target the hardware specifically, the problem with the Xbone is that microsoft didn't design it for playing games as it's primary function O_o tjhe want a more universal entertainment device because games do not offer the range of constant  revenue sources for advertisements and such. To see this in action look at how the Xbox 360's UI has changed over the 360's lifetime to cram more advertisements and short use products such as videos into your view.

Damn, too early to tell where I got that idea from, stupid brain lying to me. If they're both using the Kabini SoCs this will be really sad if Microsoft releases a console with worse specs than Sony......

It's possible since consoles are really just specialized computers.  People really do need to stop underestimating consoles.

That said, this is EA talking.  EA is quite notorious for doing and saying stupid things.   Also this guy comes across as some suit/marketing agent who heard a few key phrases and decided to parrot them out without really knowing what he is saying.

The other problem is like Binky said.  Some of these consoles, especially the XBone, are moving away from the key advantage consoles have always had - being a specialized computer.  If I didn't look at the XBone and immediately think "Tivo competition", I might even think to myself that maybe it isn't marketing hype.   Funny thing is Battlefield is not a popular series on the console, so saying BF4 runs better on console than on the PC (even if true) is pretty damn stupid.  I wonder how BF fans feel about that statement.

EA = no cred

XBone = losing cred

Nope, not buying it.
