wevsspot Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 As a test move all folders and other personal content from your desktop and put them on a flash drive for now. Ok to leave shortcuts but make sure they are simple names (ten or less characters at most). Now do a complete uninstall of the nvidia drivers and all nvidia utilities / add-ons. After using the Windows Uninstall Wizard, run Revo Uninstaller and / or Driver Sweeper. Reboot into safe mode and manually uninstall any remaining nvidia files and folders. If you're comfortable working in the registry also delete any orphaned registry keys related to nvidia. Reboot yet again and install latest WHQL drivers. Check and see if CP works now. wevsspot Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 YW. You may be able to move some of that stuff back to the desktop, but be careful with the length of folder file names (and of course all file names within the folder). Probably best just to leave them where you have moved them to since everything is working ok now.
