Fogel Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I can't remember the exact quote but I had to laugh when the last Bungie guy said something like this... "It's scary to think of something bigger than Halo. I mean what's bigger than Halo?"
_TheAlexO Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Unfortunately we probably won't be getting a PC release

l1il Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I would not affirm that we won't have a release. If they aren't affiliated to M$OFT we could have something. Steam is morepopular than ever, and most companies are relying onto it for DRM purposes. Halo 1 was popular among pc users at the time, but piracy's what killed the developper's hopes. It has to be very different than other shooters, as the genre is so overused. If they stay away from Halo :ODST style, it would be good tho. Coors Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 It has to be very different than other shooters, as the genre is so overused. Overused? No more than other basic genres. That's like saying there are too many RPGs being made. Or too many RTS games...
l1il Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I understand, but my point was there is already a lot of Halo's that have been done. I have had a lot of nice console LANs with my buddies, but that was like 6-7 years ago. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were very similar, that to me it seemed like a ripoff. Halo 3 was no different where the main goal of the producer seemed to me doing an half-assed game with 4 MP maps and sell a bunch of them. Still, we bought them and played on most of the weekends. There is like a million Call of Duty and Battlefield following close by. Rainbow Six comes from a tactical shooter (I consider this a different genre) to a run & gun game. So my expectations are mostly on good game life span instead of pretty graphics that asks you for buying 3/4 of MP maps, and that they add a coop story mode (it is so rare these days) 2 players on the same consoles. Who remembers thatconsoles can accommodate 2 controllers?
Coors Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Yeah I can see your point. I the last CoD I actually liked was CoD2...after that it went to shit.
l1il Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Wow, and the release of Call of Duty 2 is like 8 years old... hope you found another game in the meantime. While I must say I would play Total Annihilation anywhere anytime even tho I got that game almost 16 years ago.
Coors Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Oh of course lol. There are plenty of other better games than the CoD series
