The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Recommended Posts

Hopefully Dragon Age Inquisition is pretty good because it is quite a wait until February.

Now the wait extends till May. Delayed twice... After all this hype, I think it's going to fall under the high expectations of fans.

But I'm so happy with DAI. 62 hours in and I've still got a long way to go. Best RPG I've played in years, let's see what CD Projekt Red can do in May.

On a side note, does this mean Cyperpunk 2077 slips further away ?

Cyberpunk 2077 is almost certainly being developed by a separate team at CDPR so it should also be completely unaffected by this news. Maybe QA would be shared between the projects, but that would not slow production.

It's good to see what will be hopefully a decent game that doesn't need a $400 video card to play it. To bad ACU didn't do the same thing for their pc version.

The witcher 3 is the only game that has "normal" requirements for its visuals.

Unlike some other games that have had ridiculous requirements for no good reason *cough* ASSassins creed *cough*

The recommended specs of the witcher 3 were meant so the player could play at mid/high settings.

On 30fps as well..

Better bring out those SLI 980's if you want to play on ultra with a resolution higher than 1080P and 60fps...

Bunch of new info translated from a German gaming magazine.

Some snippets:

There are 4 difficulties (easy, medium, hard and dark) which differ in the skill of the monsters you face. Hitpoints remain the same.

Novigrad and No Man's Land are indeed one single map, much bigger than Skyrim. The isles of Skellige form the other big part of the game. Next to that, there are 5-6 other separated locations, including Kaer Morhen.

No enemy respawning or at the least not very frequently

Best items in the game must be crafted

Contrary to BioWare games dialogue options are not good or bad, this you will have to figure out for yourselves.

The game features two really big cities: Novigrad and Oxenfurt, both very lively.

The are of No Man's Land features 25 smaller towns, some of which are the size of Flotsam from The Witcher 2.

Journalist (level 7) was one shotted by a wyvern (level 24). No level scaling.

Ciri sequences will be (in total) 5-10h and feel more like an action-adventure game than an RPG.

Extra storage can be made by crafting saddle bags for your horse.

Journalist didn't encounter any simple fetch quests

Geralts beard will grow over time.

Controller feels superior to keyboard+mouse.

Xbox One resolution will stay at 900p.

The extremely annoying doors from The Witcher 2 are gone. Doors are now opened automatically, no button pressing. No loading times for entering buildings either.
