[Weekly Updates] Rock song of the week!

Recommended Posts

Well, I thought I'd try something new for the entertainment. I'm not sure how many of you listen to rock, metal, etc, but I've noticed a couple people do, so maybe this could be interesting. Basically, what I'll be doing is posting my top rock song of the week (I will be taking suggestions). I'll be including lyrics, meaning (not every time, some are difficult to interpret, but feel free to give your two cents), a link to the song, the band's website, and the name of the album. If anyone wants to see anything else, either post here or PM me and I'll include it or edit my post and add it. Here's this week's song!

Edit: Hindsight, I'll also include names of similar songs that way people can check out other songs that they might like if they liked that week's song.

Song: Dyer's Eve - Metallica

Album: And Justice For All

Lyrics:

Dear Mother

Dear Father

What Is this Hell You Have Put Me Through

Believer

Deceiver

Day in Day out Live My Life Through You

Pushed onto Me What's Wrong or Right

Hidden from this Thing That They Call Life

Dear Mother

Dear Father

Every Thought I'd Think You'd Disapprove

Curator

Dictator

Always Censoring My Every Move

Children Are Seen But Are Not Heard

Tear out Everything Inspired

Innocence

Torn from Me Without Your Shelter

Barred Reality

I'm Living Blindly

Dear Mother

Dear Father

Time Has Frozen Still What's Left to Be

Hear Nothing

Say Nothing

Cannot Face the Fact I Think for Me

No Guarantee,it's Life as Is

But Damn You for Not Giving Me My Chance

Dear Mother

Dear Father

You Clipped My Wings Before I Learnt to Fly

Unspoiled

Unspoken

I've Outgrown That Fucking Lullaby

Same Thing I've Always Heard from You

Do as I Say Not as I Do

Innocence

Torn from Me Without Your Shelter

Barred Reality

I'm Living Blindly

I'm in Hell Without You

Cannot Cope Without You Two

Shocked at the World That I See

Innocent Victim Please Rescue Me

Dear Mother

Dear Father

Hidden in Your World You've Made for Me

I'm Seething

I'm Bleeding

Ripping Wounds in Me That Never Heal

Undying Spite I Feel for You

Living out this Hell You Always Knew

Howabout picking new music or unheard of music instead? Not something that everyone has more than likely heard.

I suggest taking a look at Kingswood from Melbourne Australia awesome new unsigned band. Making some nice waves at the moment.

I've been exploring more underground rock, but I've had this song in my head all day, so I figured I'd go ahead and put that up. Next week will be a pleasant surprise. ;)

Just checked out Yeah Go Die - Kingswood, they're pretty good actually. I'd have never come across this song on my own lol. Like I said, if anyone's got anything they want to see, PM me or post the song and I'll check it out and put it up. Also, this is my favorite song for that week, not just a random song for the week, so the genres may be a bit biased. I will try my best to look into different bands that are similar to recommendations that I've gotten etc to please everyone.

Song: Lady Lost in Time - Labyrinth

Album: Return to Heaven Denied

1piZD.jpg

Lyrics:

Lady, lost in time

Lady, let me try

Never lose the faith

Keep on trying once again

Wake up from the night

Flowing in your mind

time has gone, but something's left behind

... a little twinkling light ...

light of wasted memories

tell me, can you see?

Everyone has one, somewhere in his heart

... you simply gotta find.

Lady, lost in time

Lady, let me try

Never lose the faith

Keep on trying once again

Tell me what you feel

Tell me what you need

If you're calling for some help on your way

... I promise. I'll be there ...

Please don't ask me why,

Please don't make me lie

Life is like a game in wich you win or lose

but you can't ever choose

Lady, lost in time

Lady, let me try

Never lose the faith

Keep on trying once again

Lady, lost in time

Lady, let me try

Never lose the faith

Keep on trying once again

Wait now...two songs of the week?

As for Death Magnetic -- Metallica should have made the S&M tour their swan song. They've only gone downhill since then and are well past any sort of relevance or musical creativity.

I decided to post a less mainstream song as well in case people had already heard Dyers Eve, which is very likely.

S&M was amazing, I loved it. However, I really don't think Death Magnetic was that bad. And if Metallica doesn't release more albums, how will Lars make his millions?

He's already made them. He should retire before he sullies the Metallica name any more.
