Can you have 3 Nvidia GTX 690 SLI on one motherboard

No. You can have 2 in SLI and another not in SLI on one motherboard, though. Quad SLI or Quad Xfire is the max you can put cards working together.

No you cant have 3x690s as that would be 6 GPU's and up to 4 GPU's are only supported currently.

 

Even if they did allow 6 GPU's, the scaling would be utterly crap whilst being a collosal waste of money.

@op, SLI only runs on 4 or less GPUs, however more than 4 gpus can be used for CUDA/Folding/other GPGPU uses, i have seen four 295s (dual gpu cards) on one motherboard before for rendering etc
