Hurricane Sandy

Recommended Posts

Whelp, already had my power go out for a few hours today. The storm hasn't even really started hitting here, either. This does not bode well.

Just waiting on the increase in wind speed and heavier rain to hit. So far it has been no worse than a heavy rain storm for us.

Getting pretty hard winds here and the parking lot has 22in of water in it. Ocean City, MD got hit real hard, the boardwalk and pier and thrashed . Im about 25 mins from the coast.

Im in Craryville NY and we are getting some pretty heavy winds gusting at least 50 mph. No loss of power yet but already a couple of times we have had lights dim.

Power was out when I got home from work for about the last 3 hours. Back now but who knows how long it will last.

No school today or tomorrow. No power loss either, yet. I am kind of hoping for no school on Wednesday either, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Ouch. Yeah, pretty much what I'd do, though I'd wish I had longer battery power with my laptop.

Just posted on YouTube. Our street flooded due to the rain from Hurricane Sandy, and the Somerville DPW were looking for the sewer drains clogged from all the fallen leaves. I actually helped out by lending one of the workers my Life Gear LG530 Highland Tactical LED Flashlight (700 Lumens), which you could see through the water to the ground. Glad I was able to help!

It's crazy right now, all of Battery Park City and others parts of lower Manhattan are flooded out right now.
