Build For My Son

Euro, please post a link to where you found definitive proof of compatibility. I searched for well over 20 minutes earlier today and couldn't find anything. I need to be educated :)

Isn't his board an A55? An APU chipset? Or is he using a different configuration not in the OP?

Yeah WarWeeny suggested he purchased a Gigabyte GA-78LMT in a spec he made for him (don't worry, I didn't notice either initially )

Yes, the A55 is an APU chipset with an FM1 socket, yes hence why I initially stated it would not work :)

Ok. It's all coming together now. The OP apparently ordered the parts recommended by WW in an earlier post. So any concern about the Gigabyte FM1 board goes out the window. Looks like everything is in order now.

War - since you're fond of calling other contributors out publicly I'll reciprocate. This sentence is irrelevant to the topic at hand. At best it's a waste of written word, and at worst it's inflammatory. Keep to the point and if you have something valuable to contribute then do so without the un-necessary preamble. You've been cautioned..

kinda harsh dont you think?

i helped him alot with his build and i get cautioned because i find it irritating that people dont read topics before posting, this should be a given if you ask me.

but w/e if you dont want me to help people, fine i won't in the future...

call it a childish reaction but i dont think your judgement has been fair to me.

Hmm all suggestions seem good. I'd like to put a bit of input, I hereby denounce all suggestions on this thread! The best option is obviously a imac come on think about it! It has a large screen it looks fancy and it's quite expensive so it shows you care! teehee.gif

even better parts are going to be here tomorrow, yay.

might need a 4 pin to 8 pin power adapter though, just looked at the pics for the motherboard and it has got an 8 pin 12v connector :(

damn i've been out of pc building for a while lol, is this normal now to have a 8 pin 12v ?
