gravy Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 try to find anyname and model number on the motherboard itself, anything you can get might help identify what you have, and this way we would know what would be considered an upgrade, be glad to help, if we can get more specifics
Rick_fourdumbkids Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 urm the box says "MSI K7t Turbo2" "VIA KT133a Chipset Based" is that a help?
Eva_Unit_0 Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Ah yes, that helps a lot. The mobo is kind of outdated...a new one would be a worthwile investment. However, you'll have to get new ram to go along with it since that one uses old sdr ram. I don't think you'll get a new mobo AND ram for under 70 bucks...is it possible to spend more? Rick_fourdumbkids Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 urm yeah probably could i not use my old ram on a new mobo until i worked up some more money to buy new ram?
bigred Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 first off it's running at 1.25ghz cuz you have the frontside bus set wrong. it's currently at 100 and should be at 133. go to msi's website, download the manual, and find out how to up the frontside bus.
