No Edit Source Button

I am running windows XP pro,I have admin part and a part i created with full access.

 

Anyways my proplem is i can not use my edit button. I have all setting right as far as in the tools, Internet options, programs,html editor.

 

I have it set for the notepad,but have choices of frontpage-notepad -word.

Which i have tryed all three and still will not work.

 

I have tryed the right click view source-the view source on the toolbars. and the little icon on the tools bar,and nothing.

 

Now when i go into the admin part it works fine.also if i go into the guest part it also works. But not in the part i created that has all my settings the way i want them.

 

Can anyone help me with this Im not trying to edit anyones pages it is for my own use as i am trying to learn HTML and just using it to learn is all.

What kind of system are you using and specs?

Probly XP being retarded again... if I were you I'd downgrade to

Windows2000, much more stable in my experiences....

some ppl might tell you different but I think most agree...

Try using another browser and seeing if it works....

You know, mine is like that on some websites, but not others. I think certain websites don't let you see the source....

But if you go View -> Source, you see the source anyways...

some places disable right clicking or they have a msg that pops up... the msg is dumb.. I rememeber being like 12 and seeing that for the first time... took me like 2 secs to figure out that if you kept clicking and presing enter it pops up anyway...

havnt seen sites that dont allow source viewing though....

maybe Im just too lazy these days
