Miek Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Unless I find a way to remove or otherwise disable the Facebook timeline, I'm just going to delete my account. That may well be a good move anyway, though.
Bosco Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 As far as I know you can't remove it
Waco Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Nope. It's a mandatory move.
ir_cow Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 you cannot and I was sad the day my phone got a update and forced me to timeline. I was trying to never make the move.
Miek Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I was in the same boat. I'll give it to the end of the week, I guess. That should be enough warning, I think.
Stonerboy779 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 There is a chrome add on if it does anything or not i don't know
Miek Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I found a Firefox add-on that reverts Facebook to the old layout. I'm not sure if it's only visible from my end, but for now it'll work. I'm still mulling over deactivating my account, though. I'm now a little less inclined to do so, but I'm still pretty annoyed that you can't even say no to the Timeline. Waco Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Why would you quit just because of Timeline?
Miek Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) I don't like being forced into it, and I care even less for the fact that the people that object to it are ignored. Edited August 21, 2012 by Miek
Onion Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Might as well have made a thread on how to get rid of herpes.

Onion Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I like the comparison. I figured it was the best thing to compare timeline to. You don't want it, it is given to you whether you want it or not, it looks terrible, more and more people get it as time goes on, and there's no way to get rid of it.
