Onboard for both. Today's onboard systems and CPUs are more than capable...no need to waste my money.

Logitech G930 USB Wireless Headset. Love going to the fridge or bathroom with them on.

I use my Audioenine D1 USB DAC most of the time and will sometimes use it on the desktops that otherwise use onboard. Although I can't say I have used a desktop in some time.

Onboard. Just recently retired my Audigy 2 ZS. Gave good service & sound albeit with Creatives crappy software.

Desktop and laptop onboard. I'm no audiophile, I simply like my music to sound nice, not perfect, and it does the job for that. :D

I use aftermarket but only because i got it so cheap. It does make a big difference imo so i will continue to use aftermarket in the future.
