Alejoss! Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Well, Hello I had an issue i wanted to ask you guys about. I was helping my cousin with his new CPU (I5 3570k) but, when we manage to get it on the mobo, it only gave black screen and 3 short beeps. We thought it was the memory, so, we changed them of position and and everything we could, but, no difference. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dh67cl.html/ this is the mobo the cpu an I5 3570k he had an i3 2100 installed, and the ram was, some Kingston VERY short sticksm 4Gb each, supposed to be 1333 don't know anything else, what do you think was the problem? NoSnipeLimit Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Put the i3 2100 back, do a bios upgrade maybe they added support later for it? You can check the site for support of cpus on the mobo. I agree, although that would probably be a bit of an overkill if he doesn't do some serious gaming/editing etc.
