gpu folding

Im curious. What portion of the gpu processor makes the gpu fold faster or better. I think its the Cuda core count but Im really not curtain. If someone would mind explaining Id much appreciate it.

Not realy sure, I get most of my points though CPU folding.. on them it's core count and speed.

In general it's the shader cores, which for nVidia are bound together into the CUDA cores (not sure if AMD groups theirs together into something with a different name). So for overclocking for better time-per-frame, you want to increase the shader clock.

it was the amount of cudas and the clock of them (shader clocks) but now the kepler like ditched that whole bit and changed the chip a bunch. It's different not the raw amount of CUDA anymore as you see kepler fails to fold as good with more than double the cores.

Ok guys. Thanks a bunch. I checked my time and my ppd and i had a 70k day yesterday. Woohoo. Look at this system go.
