I just installed a 3rd 120g ocz vertex3 ssd. I trying to do the firmware update but it dose not see my drives. I my the bios set to ahci and there are not my main or "C" drives.

I do have them set in a raid 0 config. Is that the problem?.

Well seems I was wrong about the ide setting.I had to go into bios reset it to raid then get into the raid area where you build or delete them.

Delete the raid go back into bios reset the drive to ACHI and save. Go into admin, computer management, disk management and re-add all three drives.

After all that I was able to update the firmware to the drives. Then of coarse go back into bios reset drive back to raid rebuild the raid 0 save .back to windows, admin tool, computer management,

disk management add new 3 as 1 drive . Now I'm ready to clone my hdd to new sdd drive. Who would have ever though it could be that simple

Using the OCZ Bootable Tools there would be no need to destroy the data on the array. Set to AHCI mode, flash the drives and set back to RAID. Looks involved but is only 10 minutes start to finish including downloading and prepping the USB stick.

Is there any benefit to the Firmware upgrade?

I currently run a single Vertex 3, and have no issues. I had a look on the OCZ site, and cant see anything major in the release notes.

What made you upgrade the firmware?
