Drdeath Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Posting all your system specs would help. If you are running AMD performance memory that would be my first stab. Its terrible.
Waco Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Posting all your system specs would help. If you are running AMD performance memory that would be my first stab. Its terrible. I had him run Memtest for a starting diagnostic. It passed with no errors. I would think if it was memory related (especially with how fast it crashes prime95) it would pop up in the first pass. It seems like the instability is coming from the CPU or the motherboard...but I'm not really sure how to narrow it down without a full list of his BIOS settings. Also - the AMD Performance memory is just rebranded Patriot RAM. They aren't the best sticks in the world for overclocking but they're fully stable at their stock speeds. SpikeSoprano Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 And the op should post seperate pics, in the one above all I can make out is the memtest, the other pics are too small to make out.
VaporX Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Okay if you are running at the BIOS safemode and having stability issues it may not be bad ram but a compatability issue. I have had this happen a few times, RAM should be RAM but that is not always the case. For me the big culprit was always G.Skill. The RAM woulod test as fine but the system would be unstable even at 1066 speed setting and very high timings with extra voltage. As soon as I swapped out the RAM to another brand all the issues vanished. Could also be a marginal PSU, again the same kind of issues the PSU will test fine but under system load would have issues. Waco Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 All the G.Skill RAM I've ever used has been rock-solid. IIRC he does have a somewhat marginal PSU. It's entirely possible it's not up to the strain of running an FX CPU at full bore.

Rofltroll Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 What's the error code you get when you BSOD? If you do not see a blue screen of death, then turn it on.
Pteroduck Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 What do you mean turn it on? I only BSOD when i run prime
Waco Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I think he means for you to turn off the automatic restart so you can see the bsod code.
Pteroduck Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 how do i get the BSOD code? and how to turn it off? and can you look at the other page and help me out on wahts wrong?
Drdeath Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) I hate to say it but the way you posted your system specs is very confusiong and you will lose interest. Also links to the screen shots are aggravating. Load them to Photobucket and post the image code. Nopbody will want to page through all those links. Manually type specs like this Mobo: Gigabyte 990FX Ud3 CPU: AMD FX-8150 ... I am saying it is the memory. 3G x 4 sticks will be very finicky on the Bulldozer Platform. Is that model listed as compatable. I would think not. Edited April 27, 2012 by Drdeath
