Stonerboy779 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I prefer to just start fresh with a new build and will sometimes cannibalise builds together but actual upgrades are really limited only to gpu and occasionally i have increased memory and storage capacities but that is really it. I've never really been the type that needs to constantly keep up with new technology, just upgrade out of necessity. I've only messed with the GPU in my rig and probably will just replace it, instead of upgrading more. Everything works great already, so upgrading wouldn't do as much as a new rig. The upgrades I have done have been to put in an HD 5770 (originally just used the IGP), added a GTS 250 (for folding and PhysX only, not driving a display), and have since replaced the 5770 with the GTX 570 it currently has. Oh, I also added a tuner card, but I don't think that really counts as an upgrade, since it's really just an accessory. The H50 might have been an upgrade though, but a really early one... can't remember now and I don't feel like checking invoices to be sure. Anyway, I'm not voting just because I'm still on my first build and the GPU upgrades were only "most often" because I've not upgraded anything else.
