rieds Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) well it gets the speed that its running at correct but not what speed the memory actually is. i have 1866 in my main rig its a fx6100 and 1333 in my backup it's a phenom ii x4 840, and 1066 in my laptop it's a i3 370m. but cpu-z says they all have 1333 installed. im at my moms house recovering from hernia surgery so i cant post my desktops but as soon as i figure out how to post my laptops nukmbers ill do it. Being memory is DDR Or double data rate CPU ID will only show the reference clock that it is operating or actual men speed. rieds Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 the bios is super basic. the info screen shows the memory size but not the speed. nothing is adjustable. i have the latest version. cpu-z showed the same thing with both versions. my fx6100 desktop rig has 1866 memory. cpu-z shows the correct speed no matter what i set it for but it identifies the memory as 1333. it has the latest bios too. i've never paid attention to what the bios says that memory is. Tjj226_Angel Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Here is what your problem is Memory Standard: DDR3 1866(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 You have to change the settings to get it to 1600. If you say your BIOS will not support it, then try updating the BIOS to see if it gives you extra functionality.
