camaro_dude15 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 just clearly shows they didnt know what the issue was/is.... what was it doing? or did it just go out? would not shift down, seldom shifted up, when it did it slipped a lot and hit hard 3rd and up where ok other than not down shifting and shifted up kinda hard
NikoDG Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I don't know a ton about trucks, but wouldn't that likely be related to your clutch?
dr_bowtie Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 ALL the shifting is regulated by the ECU and the Drive By wire sensor.... NOT the tranny
camaro_dude15 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 i think the input sensor fixed the shifting problem because they told me it helped, the rebuild might be for the slip and the hard shifts
camaro_dude15 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 it was a broken clutch drum, they should have it back by Wednesday it may take a couple weeks to put it together
SpikeSoprano Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 If the truck is only 4 months old why are they sending it to an local shop ,they should be installing genuine chrysler brand new parts, and if be a brand new crate tranny. Are they saying they have no transmission specialists at the dealer ship.Sounds like they are playing games with you, sometimes it helps to call the head chrysler office and do a bit of WTH is going on. Waco Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 If it's that new you should be getting a whole new transmission...no questions asked.

camaro_dude15 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 we will see how well this holds up, i will do some very thorough testing of this repair aka, drive it like i drive the rental they gave me and hey if it works it works, and if the dealer and chrysler are backing it up i dont have a problem with it
camaro_dude15 Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 i dropped it off on the 3rd and they are not done yet, i'm getting extremely upset with the service department, they told me yesterday morning it would be done by that evening, and they would call me, i just called today, and he said that the technician that was installing the transmission left early for a dr's visit, so nobody would be working on it till tomorrow
