Do you use surge protection for your pc/electonics?

I need a UPS at home, Surge Protection is not enough. The Power fluctuations at home can last about 2 seconds sometimes so a UPS is definitely needed, but quite expensive. (How come UPS prices haven't become cheap yet hahaha)

Not a lot of people need/use them. So the prices stay high.

This is actually a funny post to me. I use them on all electronics. My neighbor asked me what they were. We had a storm roll through here and lighting hit between our houses. Did not bother me, but my neighbor lost a TV, computer, Wii, electric keyboard and garage door opener.

Sometimes it doesn't matter what you have. Just got back online after a lightning strike 2 nights ago, 2 motherboards fried, a router, and every cable component from the road in. Everything had some kind of protection.

I just use regular surge protectors on my electronics I don't use UPS because of the cost of having to replace them every 2-3 years just isn't worth it for my needs.

Just a surge protector, but i like the idea of a whole home surge protector.

I live in Singapore, we never get any natural disasters or bad storms, and there are very few houses here, just high rise apartments where whole home surge protecters are standard.

Never felt a need for surge protectors considering that the fact that there is rarely an electrical storm on the west coast.
