paulktreg Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I have no surge protection and never really had a problem. I may unplug the telephone line from the modem during an electrical storm but that's about it.

But instead of using four, I use two surge protectors, primary & secondary.
scr4wl Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I used to use UPS's, but then during a storm I had a bunch of hardware die. Now all of my machines are attached to powerstrips.

Stonerboy779 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Not a damn thing besides the rcd in the switchbox. Got very clean power and suffer power outs on very rare occasions. Some of the TVs and entertainment gear as well as my pc are running off surge protected power boards. However I have no need to add anything else even in a storm I don't unplug things and am yet to have anything damaged.
