ishyishy Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows about any stress testing programs for a hard drive. I am looking for something to test how fast my hard drive is, and give me measurement readings at the end. The reason for this is that I want to see if my kingston hyperX 240GB ssd is working at its full potential. I am not noticing any difference from what I used to have ( 2x 300 GB velociraptor 10,000rpm on raid 0). The start up time for my machine is a little bit faster, but not by much. That is the only thing I have noticed. What is a good way to tell how fast my drive is/can be? I have my drive plugged into the sata 6 gb/sec port on my motherboard, and I am assuming that I am using a 6gb/sec cable (it is a thicker and shorter sata cable than the other ones my MB came with, but there are no labels on them). thanks Edited December 16, 2011 by ishyishy
90sgamer Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Crystal Disk Mark is my favorite. http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskMark/index-e.html Newegg uses this program in their video overviews of hard drives.

shaheenis Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Just thought I would also share my results. They do say the 120GB drives are faster.
