hey guys, ive sold my triple 24" asus monitors, and was looking at upgrading to either

a) 3D monitors

b) monitors i can run in portrait eyefinity

or c) larger, higher res monitors (27'' 2560xwhateveritis res)

and i came across these

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=416&products_id=18992

it looks like these can be used in portrait, due to the mounts and the thin lower and upper bezels, but im not sure if the 3d will work in portrait mode

so my question is will 3D work when the screens are rotated to portrait?

and will all 3 screens work off one pair of glasses?

and if i dont get these, what other monitors do you guys reccomend that work well in portrait or larger high res monitors

The stand only allows for tilt on that monitor.

What kind of a budget do you have in mind and what video card(s) are you running?

im aware of the stand, but i have got a vesa stand for triple screens that allows for rotating to portrait

ive got a budget of 300-400 per screen for the 3d ones, and with the larger ones i wont go triple screens, so probably 800-1000 for a big higher res one

im currently running dual 6970s, but will be running triple or more 7970s

For a nice, large screen monitor, the HP ZR2740w would make a good choice.

I'm not sold on the whole 3D thing. Far as I'm concerned, it is just a gimmick that isn't worth the drop in performance. AMD HD3D is only supported on certain monitors currently, like the Samsung 750 and 950 series.
