Okay - here's what I found. I went ahead and re-ran all tests for consistency. At 24°C ambient, the unofficial results are:

Stock Idle, Stock Load, Overclocked Idle, Overclocked Load

Noctua NH-D14

2x Noctua fans, 65CFM - 35, 53, 37, 66

2x Phanteks fans, 78CFM - 34, 52, 36, 64

Phanteks PH-TC14PE

2x Noctua fans, 65CFM - 33, 54, 36, 62

2x Phanteks fans, 78CFM - 33, 53, 35, 61

Niiice, thanks for the extra infocheers.gif...

Now can I ask another favor?? How does it perform with 3x fans?? And what are the temps at 4.0GHz??

Understandably a 4.0GHz test might be too much work. But I'm curious to see what, if any, difference the 3rd fan makes.

Mike those are with the old Noctua fans correct? I am curious to see on the new design they have if there is any better temps.

Good point but how much do those new fans cost again? :P

Yes they are with the old fans that were originally around when the D14 first shipped. As far as further testing I can try but I'm going to have a busy rest-of-the-week.

Does anybody know more about the origins of this company? They sort of popped up out of nowhere like Prolimatech. (former Thermalright designers) They claim to have been in the cooling industry for 20 years but I can't find any information backing that up.

All of this cold plasma spray technology and antioxidant shields, visible solder on the joints, etc., (for you, Jesse) actually do mean something important when it comes to cooling.

Thanks Mike, I'm glad I can be taken seriously :P

I just wish I had a case big enough to hold that monster!

At 4.01ghz ~1.33V, idle is 34c and load is 66c for those who are interested. It wasn't stable at 1.27V (where I ran at 3.44ghz) so I bumped it up 60mV.
