Should I take this deal?

So I was offered today a GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 1GB for about $210 and a XFX AMD ATI Radeon HD 6970 2GB for about $300. I was wondering if I should take one? I am using tri-monitors and my fps is suffering quite a bit  . If I buy one of these I could sell my 6850 and make up most of the loss. I am still waiting for the 7xxx series but my fps is getting annoying. I can wait, but it seems like a good deal. I have a HIS 6850 1GB right now. I game at 1920x1080.

Any help is great! :thx:

I am definitely considering the 6950, I like that cooler and I think it should be a good upgrade. Any thoughts?

That a used price... because if so

If new, it's a better price than what is currently offered ...unless you like XFX. With the new cards so close to release though I say tough it out!

if you use 3 monitors i think you should go with a 2 gb 6950 or go for that 6970

I definitely want a 2GB, but would the faster GPU help me out, because i do use 3 monitors, but I don't game on all 3 at the same time. I only use my main for gaming but the higher res takes it toll on my GPU.

I agree with the others, just wait it out. I'm getting myself a GTX 560 to hold me over, but that's because I'm running on integrated graphics at the moment. The HD 7900's should definitely be worth the wait though.

Thanks, I am for sure waiting now.

If I were you, I would wait the HD 7000 series. They are rumored to be pretty close and will be made with the 28nm process, that will probably allow (unless it is severely flawed) a much bigger performance increase than the HD 6000 series was.
