Black64 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 What are you using to see the cores? Task manager, third party software or the BIOS?

BMarqa Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) Is there a feature in the BIOS that disables CPU cores??? If so turn it off and or set all cores to active. Already did Manually disable and enable remaining 3 cores 'cos 1st core some kind of default core same² happening. Is it a sign of CPU in a verge of oblivion??? BUT my Hot CPU test .......all are OK Edited November 17, 2011 by BMarqa
imm0rt41 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 My x6 did this on my mobo with an older BIOS. When I updated it added support for the x6 and it began working again. Did it ever show you all of the cores?
Bosco Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Run realtemp or CPU Z and see what it shows. It will either be the board or CPU.

VaporX Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Does the system run okay? I mean do you get the numbers you would expect from a 4 core rather than a single core? If so this is likely just a reporting error from the BIOS.
