mcsquared Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I've had a Creative Assembly Sound Blaster Xi-Fi Extreme Gamer sound card for several years now. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed and have noticed most of my recent games Battlefield 3, Skyrim, etc. have very low sound output through my speakers and my headset. My audio is fine when I play a MP3, CD or older games but the newer games are not loud enough. I have updated my audio drivers but wonder if this is a Window 7 issue with my present sound card. Any help would be very appreciated. My rig: Intel Core i7 @ 3.2 GHZ 6144 RAM ATI Raytheon HD 5870 Graphics Card 750 watt Power Supply

I don't know for sure, but let me know did it help.... EDIT: or mby youre games are set to some 5.1 or hifi speakers, try to set them exactly for the output u are using that time (if headphones then set the game audio to headset:D ) Check all the settings, soundcards own settings and windows settings, uncheck everything odd that is problematic. in long shot u can change the setting and try everything. Tjj226_Angel Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Try trouble shooting a little and see if you don't get higher sound out of your onboard audio. Let us know if that changes the volume. What is going through my head is that it could be software related. There might be a control panel for the sound made by the manufacturer that could let you tweak the volume. I know on my asus laptop I am on right now, out of the box even with the drivers installed and everything else, the sound was too low. I downloaded the asus sound manager and turned the volume up. It is about twice as loud as it originally was. I am hoping a fix similar to mine will work for you.

peshewah Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Skyrim runs pretty good. Was alittle laggy at first but only indoors ( inside a building). Thats the only problem he has with the sound.
