El_Capitan Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 If they sell all of them at $40 a pop, that's $240,000.
Deathmineral Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Well, at least they aren't stealing good games. Had they stolen 6,000 copies of Half Life 3... now that would have been a tragedy.
InCrYsIs Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Wow. They should bundle the game with hacks for another 10 bucks. Save people the trouble later. LOOOSSSEEERRRSSS
Black64 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Those games weren't stolen, they were just practicing for playing MW3. Also I think as games get more expensive they will become a much bigger target for thieves because 6,000 copies is about a quarter of a million dollars. This is a downside for greedy game makes. IMO 59.99 is way to much for a video game, but we still have to pay it. Maybe they will lower prices. DanTheGamer11 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Just so that they can camp faster... wouldn't 6000 be a lot of boxes?
Black64 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Just so that they can camp faster... wouldn't 6000 be a lot of boxes? It sounds like they just stole the entire truckload to me. Or maybe they just stole the truck.

airman Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 It's very possible that the distributor would have a record of the keys belonging to that shipment - it may be possible to track these folks down, is it not?

Well, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think console versions have anything that makes each individual copy recognizable, software wise anyway, perhaps their barcodes or something in the box could tell you. As for PC versions, I would imagine they can figure it out provided they keep track of what keys go in which shipments.
