greengiant912 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) So I was playing around with evga's precision tools, and I think I set the settings wrong or something, as the card now crashed my whole machine while playing BF3... What should the default settings be for this card :S Also it gives me the ability to adjust the fan speed, is there any good reason to leave it on auto. It seems when its on auto the card overheats a bit... Gets up into the high 70's and 80s... I just set the fan to 75% so we will see if that helps... And when you do you use it, it quickly goes to 100% anyway. And for the default setting use Google, sure you'll be able to get them somewhere. Maybe even nVidia own website? MJCRO Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Yeah, the fan tables in the BIOS are really slow on that card. I used to just set the fans to 55% and it would never get above 70C.
Boinker Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Worst case uninstall all additional drive utility and reboot Tue machine. That should get you back to the cards default settings.
