Welcome to EA customer support I don't contact them anymore as they are not helpful at all and I am already wishing I hadn't bought BF3 since its an EA game and the way it has to load. Good luck on getting things to work though, sound like you got more patience than me.

Reddit has been full of these things since the BF3 beta. Apparently, Origin itself isn't even NEARLY as good as Steam.

I would have to say the last time I used ea live help was to register Burnout Paradise the registration code on the box wouldn't work. Within 5mins with them I had a new code and the game registered.

 

But honestly that guy didnt really seem like the most knowledgeable person going around.

 

Also nice to know they don't change the automatic greeting and goodbye
