Andrewr05 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 My MX518 is finally going bye-bye, though I can't fault Logitech as it was purely a 1D10T based event. I spilled coffee everywhere a week ago and it got into my mouse, I uplugged it and dismantled the entire thing when I realized the buttons were sticking. I took everything apart and cleaned it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol but the damn thing still sticks and often times clicks twice when I only press once. This thing has been awesome, never really had any issues with it except for the feet wearing out quite a bit, this will be the 3rd set of teflon feet I've gone through. (Though I think the harsh texture of the Ratpadz GS surface is to blame) Right now the bottom is pretty much worn flat, the little nubs the pads sit on are pretty much worn off: So enough of that, I need a new mouse. What are some good mice now a days? I'd prefer another Logitech as I'm used to this design )been using the same design since my first MX510) but I'm sure I could get used to a different shape. El_Capitan Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I'd recommend a G400 or G500.
Waco Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 The G400 is essentially an MX510/518 isn't it? I'd go with one of them.

BluePanda Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 If I had anything extra besides the Zowie EC2 white I'd send one your way -- mice are a pain to have to buy and like at the same time. lol. I've got my Razer DeathAdder and it makes me so happy.
MJCRO Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I don't know about Razer.. Ever since I got my Imperator, the Z-Aixs problem with this mouse is still a huge issue. I lierally will rest my palm on the mouse, and the cursor goes flying across the screen when DPI is set above 1500. I'm buying the G9x once I sell my old GTX 570. MJCRO Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Then again, I've got an older mouse of theirs... lol. Why is it so hard to find something NEW and DECENT?? So true.. This mouse just feels so cheap, and to think I paid like almost $90 for it at Microcenter. UGH!
bp9801 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I still have my old Logitech G5. It was used heavily for about two years or so, but still works fine. Only reason I'm not using it is because I got a G500 for Christmas last year, so I retired the G5. If you want, we could maybe work out some kind of deal for it.
