cindylo Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I have 2 AOC 931SWL monitors. And they work great but when I plus them in(DVI to VGA) it says input not support. Are they not compatible with DVI to VGA adapters? I have a EVGA Akimbo 9800GT by the way.
Kamikaze_Badger Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Do you have any other adapters you can try using? May be a bit of a long shot, but worth a try if you have access to other ones.
Stonerboy779 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Are you plugging the adapter into the gfx card then using a vga cable or is it dvi cable from gfx card to adapter that is plugged into the monitor?
Waco Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 How do you know they work great if you can't get them to display an image? I'd try rebooting with them plugged in if you're trying to do a monitor swap - often times your video driver won't pick up the change in displays and might try to force a resolution they can't handle. At the very least you could confirm that they work in the BIOS.
cindylo Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Well I did try changing the resolution to what they do support and still no go. And its a DVI to VGA adapter on my GFX card then a cable from that to the monitor. If I plug them into my dads pc(right next to mine) to the VGA on his they work. xPETEZx Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Im confused.. how are you setting the refresh rate on these screens if they are not displaying anything? Have you got another monitor which works with your PC that you have attached? I would try the DVI-VGA adapter on your Dads PC and see if its the culprit.
