Well this week we want to know if our users use a home theater PC for watching movies / TV shows? With more and more TVs having a input for a PC as well as more PCs having HDMI its making it easier to hook up your PC to a TV.

Nope, I just put a 2TB in my main PC and hooked it up to my plasma.

Nope, I bought a go flex tv hd media box and networked it to my main pc and watch movies and dl tv shows off that. Might put a tuner card in my pc but don't really have to as the go flex box will also bring in net flex.

I hooked up my old computer to my TV and that does the job. I want to get one of those small PCs to replace it the next time they go on sale. My computer has too many fans and makes it hard to hear what is going on without turning it up really loud.

I use my laptop as an HTPC, it's not quite as practical as a true HTPC but it does the job and I don't really like using my laptop for anything other than long trips anyway.

I'm using my PS3 to stream my movies(got over 10TB to choose from :) ). Handles almost anything and it's alot snappier then all of those dedicated useless media players like WD TV. It works as a blu-ray player too.

I voted yes....

Our main TV has an AM2 rig in a Thermaltake Tenor case and that was our first one. It's getting pretty aged and I want something smaller. The kids room use a Patriot Box office and that works really well. My bedroom has an mini-itx case fitted with an E-350 set up thats as pretty dedicated for htpc as one could get and the rigs all run windows 7 and are networked to a main PC set up as a media server as are all the PCs in the house..

My family enjoys watching alot of movies and have multiple htpcs is the best way to keep them all happy....

best invention since the inception of MP3 players....

I don't need an HTPC, for now I just use my Wii with GeeXbox loaded onto it.

Sure it isn't HD but they look plenty good when I watch them so I don't really care.

I use mine to record tv shows like PBS for later and to watch/record DvD's and Blu-rays.
