Sly_C Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 how is it done?
DevilMB3017 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Short out the on/off leads on the mobo quickly. A metal tip pen, a key, or my favorite and most common, screwdriver all work.
Sly_C Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 so just touch the two or three leads that the front panel would plug into with a screwdrver and it will come on?
sykocus Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 no just short the two pins on the m/b that the switch would normally be connected to. i like the tip of a pen cus it's just the right size to stick between the two pins and make contact with both. Eva_Unit_0 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 yep, just short the pins the switch would go on. Just remember that if you need to shut it down manually you have to hold the screwdriver (or whatever) on the pins for 5 seconds. Hades25 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 (edited) or you could just put a JUMPER on the pins Edited February 8, 2004 by Hades25
sykocus Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 then it would turn off after about 4 sec
