Nope he knew the end was near As much as I hate apple products, policies and proprietary nature of their hardware he did put together a product that was right for the time and exploited it, built a cottage industry around it (The ipod of course), Then leveraged it into the mobile segment with the iphone and made a mint. He was a great visionary snd I miss being able to curse him for his great visionary ideas that kill competition.
