Fogel Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Personally I think this kinda removes the point of having an SSD. Steam, Windows Updates, etc all take maybe a second or two to start once I see my desktop. What's the point in turning them off? I have them on but I find my SSD is too fast - about half the time Steam loads before my PC recoginizes it has an internet connection so it keeps asking me if I want offline mode so i have to click 'Retry'. MANUAL LABOR! I only stated because some people are really picky about their boot times despite how fast computers have gotten and they would rather say that they got their PC to boot in 17s versus the 25s it originally took ...despite the fact it actually takes them additional time to do the stuff manually. wevsspot Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I have the same issue with Steam when it auto loads with Windows. Plus I'm old school. I don't wan't 56 processes running in the background regardless of how fast they load. I'm an "on-demand" type of guy
