camaro_dude15 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 well its official, im a sucker that can be had by any salesman i come into contact with, this time i was checking out a new gun shop in town, actually its been there for a year or so and i never found my way in yet, but ive made the decision, and i am currently going through a background check although i havent decided which ar-15 i want, a DPMS or a bushmaster, any thoughts? El_Capitan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Nice. Massachusetts and their strict gun control laws. I don't think you'd lose any sleep over picking either one, but I'd go with the Bushmaster if I had to pick between the two.

El_Capitan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 what no AR's there? "It is unlawful to sell, transfer, or possess "any assault weapon or a large capacity ammunition feeding device that was not otherwise lawfully possessed on September 13, 1994." Locutus Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Kel-Tec has some reeeeeeally spiffy .223 rifles. Not quite AR's, more of a hybrid between the AR and the AK47. They don't have the huge buffer tube assemblies either because of this, so they make really good .223 pistols.
SpeedCrazy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I rather like the bushmaster myself. Sucker you may be but you do it in style.

Andrewr05 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Finish one project before you move onto the next! That being said it's all down to personal preference, there are so many combinations of components you can throw into a rifle. They're all subjectively better as well, unlike automobile performance and computer performance parts. Just go to their shop and try out a few, there is no sense in going wild, just get a basic rifle and upgrade as needed.
