momosmokey Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Hello, I'm having issues with sleeping and hibernating my computer. I would put my computer into sleep mode, in it's 4.5Ghz OC'd state after roughly three times of sleeping and being powered back on and put back into sleep the computer would crash and cycle the boot sequence until it had to be manually shut down and rebooted. After being rebooted the computer would then go into the BIOS and state: OVERCLOCK FAILED! Well my computer is perfectly stable I've ran it 24hrs prime 95 and with a slew of other OC tools. It ain't a stability issue. I gave up on sleep and moved on to hibernation. It didn't fail when it came out of hibernation and was quicker than shutting down and rebooting the computer, but now after coming out of hibernation I discover the front USB ports don't work. ARGH! So that's my current problem any help is much appreciated. Current attempts at resolving sleep mode: Update BIOS (Didn't fix issue) Current attempts at resolving hibernation mode: In Device Manager I turned off the "allow the computer to turn off of this device" in power management for the USB ports. My computer specs are shown below.
