Prunes Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Was browsing Nvidia's website and found the demos. If you guys want to see what your GPU can do, then you should try this: Design Garage It was made for the 400 series, but my 560 ti with a slight OC can get a max of 1.5 fps. That just insanely low. I hope some of you sli or tri-sli guys can try and see what you can get here. Press F3 to see the fps.
Black64 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I hit the "can I run this demo" link and it said "No, this demo requires an upgraded (newer) GPU" . I know I have an ATI card thats why.
olokul Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) on the defualt screen i was pulling 10.4 to 11 fps with my cards at stock speeds 580sli if i moved the screen around i was getting in the high 50's i also downloaded endless city and on the autopilot mode i get around 70 fps (have to use fraps) peaks at 75 and lows at 67 Edited September 12, 2011 by olokul
Prunes Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Then again, I saw this interview with that famous guy behind doom and such, where they showed some editing using ray tracing (which is used in that demo) and they were running a 64 core cpu
Guest_Jim_* Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I hit the "can I run this demo" link and it said "No, this demo requires an upgraded (newer) GPU" . I know I have an ATI card thats why. Or their scan is screwy. I've got a GTX 570 and GTS 250 in this machine, and it said the same thing. Good job green team; you're second best single chip card with a midrange isn't good enough and needs to be upgraded.
olokul Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I ran the scan on all the demos and it said i can only do the two gtx 500 demos, I would need a gpu upgrade for anyting lower on their demo list.
SpikeSoprano Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 LOL, it ran at 1.5 to 2 fps for about 57 sec and then got an error saying I needed to upgrade the memory in my gpu or cut back on the resolution, like to know what the 590 would do with this test. mattyamdfanboi Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 ill run this on the 580s.. see we go
mattyamdfanboi Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 anywhere from 8.5-9.2fps for as long as it takes lol mem use is over 1gb which is why it would fail on a 1gb card..
mattyamdfanboi Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 ok at 1024x768 i get a solid 10fps.. using that performance analyser thingy.. on full screen (5760x1080) i get 4.3fps hahahah not too bad!
Prunes Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Guess that ray tracing thing is a real killer. You would need a GTX 590 or 6990 to have enough mem, I guess.
mattyamdfanboi Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) 6990 has more mem.. the 590 does not. not that it uses all the ram anyway... only used 1400mb when it was across all 3 screens.. games use more then that lol Edited September 14, 2011 by mattyamdfanboi
