xmoosecallx Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Another question I have is, does it matter what PCI slot my video card is in? I have it in the second slot because my sound card is right next to the first PCI slot and I've noticed that since I moved the video card in the second PCI slot, the temps for it have gone down 10-15C. I don't know if that's due to it being further from the sound card, or something to do with the performance. Does having it in the second PCI slot cost any performance? Here is my motherboard if it helps: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423 Thanks in advance!

SpikeSoprano Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) It says you should install it in the pci1 slot but being as both slots run at 16x just run a benchmark of fps, if it is the same in both slots use slot 2. Sorry for the 2 posts ?????? Edited July 20, 2011 by SpikeSoprano
xmoosecallx Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Yea that's what I was thinking. I've heard some people say that you should have it closest to the CPU, but I don't see how that would make a difference. Thanks for the reply
