j00f00 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 My 9600XT runs at a stable 526MHz core at 39-42 C. I figured that I could squeeze a bit more speed out of it, and even more with a better cooling solution. The stock cooling assembly on the card does well but I want to see how much I can do with this card. Does anyone have an idea of the safest maximum OC for the core? Also, has anyone found or come up with ideas for mounting other coolers on a similar card (such as heatsinks that would fit)? Thanks. Nuclear Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Every card is different when it comes to OC'ing, so your best bet is just to keep upping the core until it gets unstable. At the first signs of artifacting or snow, just back the core down. There are many aftermarket cooling solutions for the 9600XT. Are you gonna be using air or water?
