Overclock your Mobility Graphic card

I don't really see the point in OCing discrete graphics. The laptop's battery life is usually crap anyways. XD

ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 in an HP DV6, T6600 and 4GB of ram. Does pretty well in games with this overclock. These cards really overclock well. I keep it on a cooler while overclocked, it has never overheated and temps while overclocked are the same as non overclocked temps without a cooler.

 

Stock is 550/667

Overclock: 700/800

100% stable -- tested with furmark, 3d mark and a lot of hours of SC2

I have a 4650 in my wife's laptop that I will be using soon. Did you use the classic rivatuner, or did you use ati tool to acheive your overclock? I dont think ccc has a built in ability for the 4650, though I could be wrong.

I've actually been using gpu tool for the 4650, I found it to be more reliable for that card. I don't keep it overclocked all the time, so I don't have anything loading the overclock at start-up. When I'm going to play games I just open gpu tool and load up my overclock before going in game.

Gpu tool does however allow you to keep the overclock at startup correct? And does ccc allow an overclock through its software?
