Yesterday i bought an acer laptop with GT 540M. I wanted to know whether the club members have laptop(s) with Discreet Graphic Adapter and how much you push it.

Here is mine:

Bear in mind that is max OC. Not even operable for 24/7

The way the board works , someone has to choose an option in both polls so people with only an AMD card cant vote sine they need a choice in every question.

Therefore I edited none into your poll to overcome this error .

I have a Mobility HD5470 and do not oc it as I dont want it to blow up :)

Stable, though can't reach 1 GHz on memory(keeps getting artifacts. Also i did that because i want to know how much i can push the hardware, not really using it for 24hr operational

I have overclocked both of my laptops. The 8600M GS in my older HP laptop overclocks VERY nicely. Made a thread previously about it: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=185796

The 6970M in my Alienware is not as nice, though I was facing throttling issues even stock. Could be because of heat, not sure. Currently, the card is dead and waiting for Dell to replace it for me. Other people have gotten very good clocks on theirs.

I concur, I would not overclock a laptop unless there is a cooling pad underneath.. Most gets hot enough already

ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 in an HP DV6, T6600 and 4GB of ram. Does pretty well in games with this overclock. These cards really overclock well. I keep it on a cooler while overclocked, it has never overheated and temps while overclocked are the same as non overclocked temps without a cooler.

Stock is 550/667

Overclock: 700/800

100% stable -- tested with furmark, 3d mark and a lot of hours of SC2 :)

You should put GMA 950 up there. :D Thats what I got.

Jokes aside... You're probably going to have to clean out the laptop more often.

True enough, though it's not as bad as a desktop with no dust filters....
